Hot Date Night is the new awesome
i have a confession to make. betsy and i have been having some roommate trauma, mostly because for the past 2 months one of the two of us has been traveling almost every weekend, and it has started to really put a strain on our roommate relationship because we have not been spending much quality time together.
of course, we decided this was something worth working together to fix. in one of the thousands of articles out there that we read giving relationship advice for couples that are having trouble making time for one another, we found one reoccuring theme: date night.
As Jeff Herring said in his stellar article J is for Just You and Me,
"Life just seems to get more and more hectic, and ...many of the couples with whom I work spend little or no alone time together on a regular basis. This is one of the main ways that couples can drift from soul mates to room mates."
There was no way we were going to let ourselves slip from being soulmates to just plain ol' roommates, so we decided that a little "just you and me time" was really needed.
five important components of any hot date night:
1) imitate eachother!
first i used teeth. then betsy.
2) do something new and exciting!
so we took a train we never usually take. the M.
3) eat something yummy!
i paid for dinner. it was mediocre, but the portions were huge!
4) watch a movie together!
betsy paid for the movie, because, hello! this was hot date night.
5) compliment eachother!
Dear betsy. You are great.

No. Jordan. It's not gross. I swear. But it does take you to this part of San Francisco that you maybe didn't realize is San Francisco. There's a bit city out there beyond the N.
