.com is the new awesome
so i was just looking into purchasing www.thenewawesome.com, more out of curiosity than the real desire to do anything with the url, but it turns out that someone already owns it!!!
Someone in Scottsdale, AZ purchased thenewawesome.com on May 28 of this year, and paid for it for the next 2 years! I am not sure what kind of nefarious plans they have for that domain, but I am a little worried about anyone else in the world being able to declare what is the new awesome and what isn't .
The domain registry site gave me some available alternatives to choose from:
THENEWGREAT.COM
ANEWAWESOME.COM
THENEWHUGE.COM
THENUAWESOME.COM
ANEWHUGE.COM
...but somehow that just isn't the same.

You know, you can contact the person to see if they will sell it to you. It doesn;t look like they are doing anything with it.
