Project Runway is the new awesome

I am so happy that Project Runway 3 is underway. This happy:


Tonight was the season premiere, and the first challenge was to make an outfit using only what they could find in their apartment. Bets and I kind of did a doubletake because it looked like one of the outfits had been made from OUR apartment.

Recognize this jacket fabric?


Maybe Karisa can remind you that she totally used our identical blanket for a prom dress several months ago.

    yeah. and you should see the head turban that betsy has designed using that blankie. she wears it around our apt every day.

    i was so so SO happy that elton john didn't get cut. i would have had to ban the season. i agree, lou, i think that he is truly crazy.
    although i uphold the cutting of the last-second-panty girl, boo to the hypocritical chastisement for using non-innovative stuff that was already material and then giving immunity to a guy being just as boring as far as his material choice. he is trying so hard to be the next daniel V and it is already working.
    and what's with all these new yorkers hating the layered i've-been-in-a-blender rocker l.a. designers? sure i want cruella deville to stay on the show and make modernist furs, but can't we all just get along?
