Oakland for movies is the new awesome

You know how you have those friends that always help you out with certain things like picking you up at the airport at 1am or picking you up at the airport at 1pm? Turns out those friends are fun for stuff other than airport pickups too!

Last Saturday I had to take a friend to the airport in Oakland so I stopped by Jeffery's coolest new house so we could see a matine of Mission Impossible 3.

Something so fun about Jeffery's house is all the cool mirrors and closet organizers and furniture.

We bought our tickets ahead of time online because we were worried it would sell out. When we arrived at the theater in Jack London Square 45 minutes early it was like we had suddenly arrived in a ghost town. Maybe everyone was at the A's game because the A's are so awesome? So we went inside the theater and there was no line. We bought a pretzel and a drink and went outside and leisurely ate it with no worries about fighting for seats.

Sometimes Jeffery has bug eyes.

Sometimes I drink a lot of diet soda.

After the awesome Tom Cruise movie, we went to Lanesplitters for pizza!
Jeffery had pizza with pineapple, ham and jalapenos. Sick.

After pizza we went back to Jeffery's cool place and as any good host does, he offered to make me some delicious coffee in his fancy french press.

Too bad I don't drink coffee (even fancy french press coffee) but no big deal, Jeffery said he had some packets of cocoa. So he whipped up some cream and pulled out this old ghetto pack of hot chocolate from 1982 and made me a cup. I was a little worried but he promised that with enough whipped cream it would taste so good.

Wrong.

Jeffery is the new awesome.

It doesnt seem like this post has generated alot of interest, so I'll say this. I met Jeffrey once, he was a nice guy, and though i cant remember all of it, i'm pretty sure that i lost my anal virginity to him. Cheers!

As chief resident at the Farmington Pizza Place, I can verify that pizza with ham, pineapple, and jalepenos is all the rage these days. We seriously get at least 5 orders a night (which is a lot for our hometown podunk operation). I love it without the jalepenos, though.

update to this post. i went to jeffrey's house about 2 weeks after this happened, and betsys cup of hot cocoa was still there, perfectly preserved in its un-inbibed state (except that there was mold growing on it and a cigarette butt sticking out the top) No lie.

doing your dishes is totally NOT the new awesome.
