Jet-Setting is the new awesome (Part III)
As it turns out, every time I come to Utah there is a huge house party happening at the Dayton/Kelly/Puente residence. Not just a gathering of a few close friends, but a huge party with every Utah scenester there ever was. And dancing. This trip was no different thanks to the birthdays of Damian Dayton and Mike Kelly. It was one of those nights where you see multiple people off your “Top Ten People I’ve Ever Met in my Life” list. Likewise it was one of those nights where you see multiple people off your “Top Ten People I’ve Never Met in Real Life but know from the internet so for a split second you think you’re actually friends but when you smile at each other from across the room you realize you’re strangers and it’s awkward” list.
Greeted by Rob, Emily, Josh and Suzanne. This is going to be the best double birthday party ever.
This is the same picture as above except replace Rob with me and Josh with Marsha. Also, replace Emily's creepy school girl pose with this serious come hither look.
Rob and Suzanne kissed right after I took this picture.
I was trying to get the word from Mike about how it felt to turn 31 but Dave wouldn't leave us alone.
Surrounded by birthday boys Damian and Mike! All the other girls were so jealous of me!
Please. Grant. Nicole. Stop being so cool. And stop being so cute. Both of you.
You can't really tell but Lee was singing happy birthday to Damian and Mike in this picture.
This morning it was time to get up and come home to San Francisco. Because this is the second time in the past month that Jeffery Cross has so generously picked me up from the airport,
I decided to take him out to lunch at Houston's.
The first thing we had to do at Houston's was wait for Jeffery to finish all his important "I'm a famous photographer" phone calls.
We ordered the Sashimi Tuna Burger and the Prime Rib French Dip and shared. Such a great idea!
The best thing about having a friend that's a famous photographer is that they can take such attractive pictures of you.
Oh San Francisco, you look so pretty today. It's good to be home.
And they all lived happily ever after.
