Registering is the new awesome

Steve and I went to Target to register the other weekend and it was quite an adventure. It was one of those things where I thought we'd get there at 9am and be outta there by 11am. Turns out it's hard to pick things for an apartment you don't even have yet. After about three hours we had to recharge at the Target Snack Shack (do not waste your hard earned dollar on a soft pretzel).

My conclusion: Registering is one of those things you think will be really awesome. And it is. For about 30 minutes.

Back in "the day" when I registered there was only ZCMI to register at. I didn't even bring Alex. I was there with my mother and my aunt. And I selected china, goblets, silverware, and sheets/towels. I think that was about it. If I could register at Target or Williams-Sonoma I'd go a bit too crazy I'm sure.

i used to work in zcmi and would discreetly watch cute little soon-to-be-wed couples registering. they always looked way stressed. and the worst was...when the girl would bring her mom and then it was a registering menage-a-trois. never a good idea.

Uhh, can we double-date register? Ann and I need to do that sometime. Oh, btw you still owe me a dinner from your pre-engagement era.

so true! registering isn't as fun as it seems.... i actually registered about 80% online first and then went to crate & barrel and bbb in person to double check what i registered for.

registering menage-a-trois might be the greatest thing i've heard all day.

    Promised land?

    is that like DisneyLand?

"common Mom, can we go to Promised Land? I want my picture taken with the three (foam head) wise men and i wanna ride Mr. Noah's wild flood ride!"

(or Promised Land could be code for Tiffany's)

You probably don't know me but I used to be in the SFYSA ward and I'm a friend of Stephanie Z.

We had such a nightmare registering at Target that I decided I would warn others in advance. I had heard how unflexible they could be but didn't believe it until I experienced it myself. Love BBB though.
