APE is the new awesome

For all of you aficionados of tights, capes, or unlikely superheroes, you will appreciate that SF was host to APE, aka the Alternative Press Expo, this weekend. APE is like the artsy little brother of Comic-con. It certainly isn't quite as large, and there are not so many superfans walking around in costume (attendess look a lot more like hipsters and less like they live at home in their parent's basement playing video games all day). But some things are just the same - many of the comic book women are buxom and leather clad, and you can certainly find plenty of comics about gay porn and auto-erotic asphyxiation if you want to.

Cameron went straight to the adult section.

Two of my friends, jared purrington and aaron thomas, came up from LA to present their own work. I sat behind the table with these gentlemen for much of the weekend and shot rubberbands at all the artsy kids walking around the place.

and aaron's specialty is little monsters, like these guys tearing up the nylons on a good looking pair of legs.
