Better is the new awesome

Sometimes you have a rough day at work and on your way home you get in a car accident because a guy wasn't paying attention and he drove his car right into your car. And from the scene the only person you can think of to call is your dad. And when he's not home you call your brother John just to make sure you do everything right and he tells you everything is going to be okay and it makes you feel so much better. Then you get home and your roommate sits on the couch with you and listens to you tell your sad story while you're wearing your happy shirt and then she buys you dinner from one of your favorite restaurants and you watch TV and laugh and eat and it makes you feel so much better.

Then you offer to make homemade chocolate chip cookies and your roommate says "thanks, but that'll take forever" and so you remind her that you're so good at making cookies.

Go.

No big deal.

Oh, is it already time to scoop the dough?

Yes.

Cookies in the oven and bex is happily eating the leftover dough at the 6:57 mark. That makes her feel so much better.

Then I remembered that before the accident I decided to go to Target and buy a bunch of new toys for no reason and that made me feel better too.

I guarantee I could have made those cookies in under 5 minutes had I not been so busy posing with my mini-ice-cream-cookie-dough scooper.

First of all, your shirt is totally cute.
Second, sorry to hear about the accident. I hope you and your car are ok.
Third, I would appresciate it if we had some sort of pulley system where you could send your cookies (or cupcakes down through my window.

I don't have this turned on all the time. You could call me. I'm not a screener. :)

Also, I love polaroids. If you ever need film we have a bunch in our fridge. (we buy it in bulk from Costco.)

betsy... i'm sorry you had a crappy day. that is the pits. i think you handled it well all things considered.

i bet if you threw a party, and invited everyone you knew. you would see the biggest gift would be from reba and the card attached would say, "thank you for being a friend.

the good new though is that i misread your friend cache's comment there and thought he said "betsy's naked goods? holy canoley." I was so happy for you that someone loves your naked goods.

I remember those burnt cookies. And it didn't have anything to do with me. If I recall correctly it had to do with whether or not the big white couch is good for snuggling or not.
