Chico is the new awesome
Last weekend my parents came to town and we all drove up to Chico to visit my brother John and his family. If you like beer or trucks or small towns, you've probably heard of Chico. Also, if partying was a large factor in choosing the college you attended, Chico State may have been where you ended up.
John, Kim, Jarod and Kevin live in the cutest house in the cutest neighborhood ever. There are so many trees!!! Casa de Heywood in Chico has the same problem Rebecca and I face here in SF. When you live in an older place that is charming and rad, it sometimes doesn't have the most modern amenities. John, Kevin and I decided the only way to truly get warm was to stand directly over the heater.
Speaking of Kevin, every time I told him to smile for the camera he made this face.
Except one time he made this face.
Rebecca, this might be a great new shirt making idea for you...the iron on shark.
Jarod is not the only one that likes toys in this house.
If you know my sister-in-law Kim, you know she sometimes forgets that it's not 1986. (jk, jk...she had an 80's party to go to)
If you know my brother John, you know he likes his toys. For example, when you go to a hotel you may find a lovely mint on your pillow. When you stay at Casa de Chico you find this on your pillow.
And instead of an alarm clock on the nightstand, you find these guys.
And after a lovely night sleep you open your eyes and this is what you see.

I once met Jose (no Way) Conseco in Chico. Also they have the national Yo-Yo museum. I bet you didn't even go to that.

i wish that we had a floor heater in our apartment, instead of having to use the hair dryer or a hot shower to get warm.
